Since I’ve been a student for the past 4-5 years, with a limited amount of money, fish hasn’t been a regular in our home. We’ve been eating fish approx. once a week, but that’s not nearly enough to cover the amount of omega-3 fats we need. My skin dries out if I don’t get enough fat, and I suffer from mood-swings that are crazy! So what to do? I started having coldpressed, organic flax-seed oil in my smoothie every morning, or in a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice if I’m not having a smoothie.

My current choice of oil is this combination of flax seed oil and evening primrose oil, both organic and cold pressed. I’m not much for the taste, but when put in a smoothie you can’t taste it. And it’s soooo good for you!

Do you eat any kind of extra fat to keep you healthy? Do you think it’s necessary? And can you feel a difference?
